We are prepared to receive gifts through several charitable tools that may also provide significant tax advantages.

Give Through Your IRA

• If you are 70½ or older, you can make a gift directly from your IRA to Peniel.
• This is called a Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD).
• You can give up to $100,000 each year, and it will not count as taxable income.

Why this matters: For many donors, this is the simplest, most tax-wise way to give. It also helps you meet Required Minimum Distributions (RMDs) once you reach age 73.

Give Through a Donor-Advised Fund (DAF)

• A Donor-Advised Fund acts like a charitable savings account.
• You contribute cash, stocks, or other assets, receive an immediate tax deduction, and then recommend grants to organizations like Peniel over time.
• You can even set up recurring gifts to Peniel through your DAF.

Why this matters: DAFs are one of the fastest-growing giving tools in the US. If you already have one, simply consider recommending Peniel as a recipient.

Give Through Charitable Trusts

Trusts allow you to combine your generosity with careful planning for your family.

• Charitable Remainder Trust (CRT): Provides you (or another beneficiary) with annual income for life or for a set number of years. When the trust ends, the remainder goes to Peniel.
• Charitable Lead Trust (CLT): Provides income to Peniel for a set number of years, then passes the remaining assets back to your heirs, often with significant tax benefits.

Why this matters: These options can reduce estate taxes, provide steady income, and still make a lasting difference at Peniel.
